Les États d'Asie possédant les indices de militarisation (Global Militarization Index) les plus élevés sont Israël, Oman, l'Azerbaïdjan, le Koweït et l'Arménie. Les pays du continent asiatique ayant les plus faibles indices de militarisation sont le Timor oriental, le Tadjikistan, les Philippines, le Japon et l'Indonésie.
